Tragedy averted by neutralizing IED on road in Kishtwar

Kishtwar: Security forces today
averted a major tragedy by detecting and defusing an IED on
the busy Kishtwar-Padder road which is often used by both
civilians and security forces.

A Road Opening Party (ROP) of security forces detected
a 3-kg IED at Hunjala, about 231-kms from Jammu on
Kishtwar-Padder road around 0600 hours today, police sources
said here.

The traffic was stopped on the road to avert a
tragedy, they said adding later security forces and experts
rushed to the site and neutralized the pressurised IED, which
was planted by subversives in the middle of the road.
