Two civilians injured in grenade attack in Sopore

At least two civilians were injured when suspected militants hurled a grenade on a mobile bunker of CRPF in Sopore town of North Kashmir, police said on Monday.

bunker of CRPF in Sopore town of North Kashmir, police said
on Monday.

Unidentified militants threw the grenade on the mobile
bunker of 177th battalion of CRPF last night in Sopore, 55
kms from here, they said, adding the device missed the target
and exploded on the road injuring two pedestrians.

The injured were later hospitalised.

No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the
incident so far, the police said.

Yesterday, unidentified militants hurled a grenade at a
group of CRPF personnel at Pather Masjid near Maharaj Gunj
Police Station in which a jawan was killed and five others
injured.
