Jammu: Claiming that BJP is the only party
that can effectively fight for the fair share for Gujjars in
government job, two prominent local Gujjar leaders on Saturday
joined the saffron party.

Choudhary Lal Hussain Lodha and Manzoor Hussain Badana
joined the party and were welcomed by the state chief
spokesperson Jitendra Singh and Ghulam Ali Khatana, BJP Tribal
Morcha Executive Member and Prahbari State Muslim Morcha in
the party`s fold.

On the occasion, Khatana said that some of the Gujjar
leaders who joined the BJP today had defected from NC because
they were feeling suffocated in that party which is controlled
by a single family.

He said BJP was the only party which could effectively
fight for fair share for Gujjars in government job and college
admissions.

Jitendra Singh said that BJP was the only political party
at national level which was truly secular in character and had
the capacity to safeguard the interests of both the majority
community as well as the minorities.

"Unlike so-called secular parties like Congress, BJP
never indulges in politics of subtle communalism," said
Singh.

Others who joined included Lal Hussan Lodha, Manzoor
Hussain Badana, Jamal Ali, Abdul Gani, Ashraf, Mohd Sadiq,
Mohd Rashid, Arun Kumar, Moulvi Farooq, Moulvi Muzaffar,
Laiqat and Ali, Mohd Yousuf.
