Jammu: Two persons were killed and three
others injured in separate house collapse incidents due to heavy rains in Jammu city.
Due to heavy rains, house of Shamsher Lal collapsed in
Bantalab area today, police said, adding that Ashan Rain, wife
of Lal, died, while Lal and his son were injured.
In another incident, a mud house collapsed in Pantirthi
area of the city in which one unidentified person died, they
said, adding another person was injured.
Three more structures collapsed and there were three
landslides reported in Panjtirthi, Manda and Sidhra areas due
to heavy rains.
Due to heavy rains many low laying areas of Jammu city
including Shaktinagar, Bohri, Talab Tilloo, Canal road,
Bagwati Nagar, Satwari, Jewel, Lakar Mandi New Plot, Gandhi
Nagar, Pantirthi, Bantalab, Muthi and Bhawani Nagar areas were
flooded.
