Poonch: Two militants belonging to
Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit have been arrested and some
ammunition and explosive material was also recovered from
their possession in Poonch district, police said here on Monday.
Acting on intelligence inputs, army and police
launched an operation in Snehi forest belt of Surankote tehsil
of Poonch district and arrested two LeT ultras last night,
they said.
The arrested militants were identified as Zulfikar
Ahmed and Aniece Ahmed, they said.
The recoveries from two include 207 rounds of Pika
rifle, 98 AK rounds, a Rocket Projectile Grenade (RPG) among
other things.
The two have been sent to the Joint Interrogation
Centre for further interrogation, they said.
