Heavily-armed militants opened fire at a police party in Sopore town of North Kashmir Monday morning, leaving two policemen injured.

Srinagar: Heavily-armed militants opened fire at a police party in Sopore town of North Kashmir Monday morning, leaving two policemen injured.

The militants fired at the policemen at the main chowk in Sopore, 55 kms from here, police said.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a hunt to nab the militants.
