Security forces arrested two militants since Saturday evening in Kashmir Valley and seized arms and ammunition from them.

An ultra each was apprehended in Baramulla and Budgam districts during searches conducted by security forces, police said.

A militant identified as Munshi Khan was arrested near Shalimar Colony in Sopore town, 55-km from here, in Baramulla, they said.

A Chinese pistol with six rounds and a hand grenade were recovered from his possession.

The search operation was launched after an unidentified militant was killed in the area yesterday.

An AK-47 rifle, four magazines and a hand grenade were recovered from the slain ultra, police said.

A militant associated with Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen was arrested in central Kashmir`s Budgam district.

A revolver, six rounds and a Chinese grenade were recovered from the militant identified as Shabir Ahmad Ganaie.
