Wani visits rain-battered area of Kupwara

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Minister of
State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Nasir Aslam Wani
today visited remote area of Macchil in Kupwara district to
assess damage caused by incessant rains and floods there.

A large area of the region has been inundated resulting
in extensive damage to crops and property due to recent
incessant rains.

After inspecting the affected areas, Wani issued
immediate instructions to the District Administration to
expeditiously assess the damage so that victims are adequately
compensated.

Wani directed the engineers of the Irrigation and Flood
Control Department to take effective steps to prevent flooding
and inundation in the region.
