Jammu: Condemning Pakistan for yesterday's cease-fire violation in which five Indians died and several others were injured, Awami National Conference today said that war is no solution to Kashmir issue and both the countries should work on a concrete strategy to end the conflict.

"War is no solution and both the nations should work on some concrete strategy to end this once for all," ANC Provincial President Gian Singh said.

Expressing solidarity with the victims of shelling, Singh said, "The Centre should create facilities for the safe lodging of border dwellers in the eventualities like shelling from across the border."

He also stressed the need to ensure all necessary facilities to those who have shifted to safer places during the recent days.

Criticising the incessant ceasefire violation attempts on border, Singh said, "This is the tenth attempt in the past months and its very despicable of Pakistan to act in this inhuman way when our people have not yet recovered from the recent floods debacle."

Singh said, "People are angry and disheartened that both countries are unable to understand that it affects both of them and the mankind. It is the duty of the government that while showing its firmness and patience it must take appropriate steps."

He also appealed to the Chief Minister to immediately make all the primary health centers fully equipped with staff, equipment, ambulances and life saving drugs.
