The nearly three month-long Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir came to an end today with the swearing in of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and her council of ministers.

Jammu: The nearly three month-long Governor's rule in Jammu and Kashmir came to an end today with the swearing in of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and her council of ministers.

Governor's rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir on January 8 this year following the demise of the then chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed a day earlier.

"Governor N N Vohra issued a proclamation today to revoke the earlier proclamation which was issued by him on January 9 to enforce Governor's Rule in the state," an official spokesperson said.
