Bundu (Jharkhand): Yet another Maoist
surrendered before the police on Sunday today at Hungta village, about
60 km from Ranchi, the police said here.
Rohit alias Madhu Munda, who is wanted in at least four
naxal-related cases, turned in before the officer in charge of
Bundu police station, according to the police.
His surrender comes days after the police recovered a
carbine and other explosives from his house, the police said.
Over thirty naxalites of different extremist outfits
surrendered ever since `Operation Nai Disha` was launched in
October last year to convince the left-wing guerrillas that
their future lay in the mainstream and not in the forests.
They are being rehabilitated under the state
surrender policy, the police said.
