Ranchi: Jharkhand Governor MOH Farooq on Thursday invited BJP`s chief ministerial candidate Arjun Munda to take oath on September 11 at 11:00 am, Raj Bhavan sources
said.

The Governor asked Munda to prove his majority in the assembly within seven days, the sources said.

The invitation came after Munda called on the Governor shortly after revocation of President’s rule in Jharkhand. The Governor inquired about a suitable date from him
for the swearing-in, Munda said.

Munda, who will head at a coalition comprising the BJP, JMM, JDU and AJSU, had staked claim on Tuesday after getting unconditional support from his allies.

BJP state unit president Raghuvar Das had resigned as the BJP-LP leader to enable Munda take over.

It will be the eighth government in ten years of Jharkhand’s creation and Munda’s third term.
