Bodies of abducted engineer, firm employee found

The bodies of two abducted employees of a contract firm, including an engineer, were today recovered from Porsam in Latehar district, a week after they were lifted from Chandwa area in the district.

Medininagar: The bodies of
two abducted employees of a contract firm, including an
engineer, were today recovered from Porsam in Latehar
district, a week after they were lifted from Chandwa area in
the district.

DIG (Palamu) Laxman Prasad Singh said the
bullet-riddled bodies of Jitendra Singh, an electrical
engineer and employee Mukesh Yadav, were dug out on being
tipped off by an arrested person.

The bodies of the duo, kidnapped while returning home
to Chandwa from duty, were recovered after one of the
abductors Manjit Ram alias Rajkumar Yadav was arrested two
days ago, Singh said adding that Ram had spilled the beans
during interrogation.

Jitendra and Mukesh were employed with a contract
company working at the construction site of a proposed power
plant at Chandwa in Latehar district while Ram was a contract
labourer in the company but removed three months ago, Singh
said.

Ram told police that he and nine others were involved
in the abduction and demanded Rs. 50 lakh as ransom from their
employers.
