CBI raids premises of two officials

Bokaro (Jharkhand): CBI sleuths on Thursday
sealed the office of a senior official working with the Bokaro
Thermal of the Damodar Valley Corporation on charges of
forgery, agency official said.

A CBI team from Dhanbad raided the office of additional
Chief Accounts Officer Suman Kumar, seized documents and later
sealed his office, CBI Superintendent of Police Pramod Kumar
Majhi told PTI.

Manjhi said the raids were conducted after a contractor
complained that Rupees eight lakh was allegedly siphoned
off from him by the department through forged documents.

A separate team raided the house and office of Ajit
Kumar Prasad Verma, a manager with the Bokaro Steel Plant, in
connection with a disproportionate assets case, the SP said.
