Ranchi: Senior Congress leader and Union Information and Minister Ambika Soni Thursday expressed optimism that the people of Jharkhand would vote for stable and
visionary government and that the Congress could only fulfil
the aspirations of the people.
"The people gave a mandate to the Congress-led UPA in
Centre in 2004, and repeated it with more seats in 2009,
giving a clear message---Congress` credibility in fulfilling
its promises underlines in its manifestos," Soni told a news
conference.
"It is nine years since the creation of Jharkhand. But
the Congress has never got a chance to serve. Now I am
confident of a victory of the Congress/JVM-P alliance, Soni
said.
Stating that the Congress had done better in the
byelections in Uttar Pradesh following Rahul Gandhi`s
continuous efforts there, she said the leadership of Sonia
Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had served all
sections of the people in the country.
