Congress optimistic in Jharkhand

Congress is optimistic of a positive result in the ensuing assembly election in Jharkhand for several pro-poor initiatives undertaken during the nine-month-long President`s rule in the state.

positive result in the ensuing assembly election in Jharkhand
for several pro-poor initiatives undertaken during the
nine-month-long President`s rule in the state.

"After watching the Governor K Sankaranarayanan`s
constructive work, the people now understand how good
governance can be established," JPCC General Secretary Sailesh
Kumar Sinha said here today.

Jharkhand has been placed under President`s rule and the
81-member assembly under suspended animation in January this
year after Chief Minister Shibhu Soren lost a byelection and
resigned.

JMM hit back charging the administration with complete
failure in the implementation of its announcements, party`s
Organisional Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said.

BJP`s state unit President, Raghuvar Das also said the
state`s economic situation during the past three years
including the period of President`s Rule remained unchanged.

CPI(M) alleged corruption in the implementation of the
NREGA in the state.

The five phase poll in Jharkhand begins from November
27.
