CPI demands dismissal of Jharkhand govt

Terming JMM leader Hemant Soren`s letter of resignation from Dumka seat to father and Chief Minister Shibu Soren as a "drama", the CPI today demanded immediate dismissal of the Jharkhand Government.

Ranchi: Terming JMM leader Hemant Soren`s
letter of resignation from Dumka seat to father and Chief
Minister Shibu Soren as a "drama", the CPI today demanded
immediate dismissal of the Jharkhand Government.

"Had Hemant been sincere he would have given his letter
of resignation to the assembly Speaker and not to the Chief
Minister," CPI`s state unit secretary B P Mehta said.

"But it is just a drama being enacted by both the JMM
and the BJP and the government should be immediately
dismissed," he said.

Hemant Soren earlier in the day submitted his resignation
letter as an MLA to the Chief Minister and offered Shibu Soren
Dumka seat to enable him to contest and enter the Assembly.

Hemant`s move comes as the BJP is in the process of
taking a final decision on supporting the JMM-led government.
The party had announced withdrawal of support to the
government on April 28, but had kept the decision on hold
following Hemant`s request.

Terming the ongoing political stalemate as a "mockery" of
the problems faced by the state such as drought, migration,
unemployment, shortage of drinking water and electricity,
Mehta said "the people are watching. If they get a chance for
another elections they will teach these parties a lesson.
