DK Pandey appointed new Jharkhand DGP

The Jharkhand government on Tuesday appointed senior IPS officer DK Pandey as new Director General of Police.

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Tuesday appointed senior IPS officer DK Pandey as new Director General of Police.

Pandey an IPS officer of 1984 batch replaced Rajeev Kumar (IPS 1981 batch) who has been posted as the DGP (Training), an official release said here.

Prior to his posting as DGP of Jharkhand, Pandey was the Additional Director General (ADG) of CRPF. He has also served as IGP (Bokaro) and Ranchi and also as ADGP (Operation) earlier.

Additional DGP (Railways) Ashok Kumar Sinha has been promoted to the rank of DGP and made the DGP (Railways), the release said.
