Giridih (Jharkhand): Jharkhand Cooperative
and Minority Welfare Minister Haji Hussain Ansari on Friday said
disbursement of Rs 220 crore towards crop insurance to farmers
would be completed within two months.
"From January 29 we began disbursement of money to
farmers across the state under the crop insurance, and the
exercise will be completed by March 25 this year," Ansari
told newsmen here.
The farmers were being given the insurance money
following two successive years of drought in the state, he
added.
The state government had a couple of years ago
introduced the crop insurance for farmers.
