Ranchi: A special court Wednesday issued a
notice to the jailor of Ranchi central jail for his `failure`
to produce former Jharkhand minister Kamlesh Singh before it
despite a production warrant issued against him yesterday.

The special court of the Prevention of Money
Laundering Act issued the notice after the Enforcement
Directorate moved a petition to send Singh in judicial custody
in connection with money laundering case.

The ED`s petition came soon after the high court
granted bail to Singh on Monday after he stayed in judicial
custody about 13 months in connection with disproportionate
assets case.

The court today asked the jailor to produce Singh
before it tomorrow.

Singh is facing charges of acquiring wealth
disproportionate to his known sources of income during his
ministerial tenure between 2005 and 2008.
