Five Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh

Chhattisgarh police have arrested five Naxals who were wanted in connection with looting of explosive material last year and stealing of ballot boxes in 2004 Lok Sabha elections.

five Naxals who were wanted in connection with looting of
explosive material last year and stealing of ballot boxes in
2004 Lok Sabha elections.

Superintendent of Police of Bastar district P Sunderraj
said a police team was sent to villages like Khdpadi, Adwal
and Kormel after receiving information about movement of
Naxals. The outlaws started fleeing but the police managed to
nab five of them.

One of them called Pandu was involved in looting of
explosive ammonium nitrate last year while others like Sakru
and Kamlu were engaged in transporting the explosives.

Two others Ganesh and Anantram allegedly had looted
ballot boxes in 2004 Lok Sabha elections.

Police had announced a reward of Rs 4,000 each on them.
