Hazaribagh: A local court on Wednesday sent former Jharkhand minister and Congress MLA Yogendra Sao to one day's judicial remand, asking him to appear before it tomorrow.
Rejecting his request to send him back to a hospital in Ranchi as he was under treatment there, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Garima Mishra asked the police to provide medical facility to Sao at Hazaribagh Central Jail.
The court also directed the police to produce Sao along with members of 'Jharkhand Tiger' and Mukesh Sao of 'Jharkhand Bachao Andolan' and three others tomorrow.
Today, the former minister was brought here by a CID team from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, where he was admitted after a Delhi court had on Monday granted three days' transit remand to the Jharkhand CID.
He was arrested in Delhi on Sunday following warrants served against him by the Hazaribagh court on September 14 in connection with floating of an ultra outfit as alleged by the head of 'Jharkhand Tiger' Raj Kumar Gupta, whose statement was recorded under section 164 before a judicial magistrate.
On September 12, Yogendra Sao had resigned from the Hemant Soren government.
