Medininagar: A tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped by her relative and his friends at Jainagra village under Chaipur police station in Palamau district, police said on Monday.
The 19-year-old victim, a resident of Khurakhurd village, came to Jainagra to attend a wedding ceremony when her relative Ajay Oraon took her for an outing on Sunday night, DSP Pawan Kumar told newsmen.
Ajay took her to a field where two of his friends joined him and took turns to rape her, Kumar said adding Ajay and his friend Vikash Oraon have been arrested while another accomplice Ramjeet Oraon was at large.
The girl was sent for medical check up after and an FIR was registered in this connection, he added.
