Ranchi: Jharkhand Govenor M O H Farooq has advised state Chief Secretary A K Singh not to take any important decision or effect largescale bureaucratic reshuffle till the prevailing political uncertainty ended.

Summoning the Chief Secretary to the Raj Bhavan yesterday, Singh told him "do routine work only", according to official sources here.

He also asked him not to initiate appointment of Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), two days after a selection committee reportedly recommended former chief secretary A K Basu as the next CIC, the sources said.

The Raj Bhavan also advised the chief secretary to refrain from making largescale transfer/posting, barring the important ones.

The Governor's advice came in the face of political uncertainty that was triggered by Soren's voting along with the UPA in a cut motion in Lok Sabha on April 27.
