Jaipur: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda on Sunday said his government was looking for private partnership and investment in several areas, particularly in the infrastructure sector to accelerate the state's growth.

Munda expressed optimism for getting a positive response from the Indian diaspora in this regard, and said he will highlight the potential of his state during the ongoing event.

"Jharkhand is a potential state and contributes in the country's growth. The state has rich in row material and we want to increase our contribution in India's growth as well as development of the state so we are modifying our policies," Munda told reporters here on the sidelines of the 10th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas.

"We want to attract investment in infrastructure, education, manufacturing, tourism and other sectors. We are working on skill-development of our manpower and we hope that NRIs would get good results if they invest in our state," he said.

Replying to a query, he said the Naxalism movement has affected not only Jharkhand but other areas of the country also but his government will ensure security to investors.

"Availability of electricity is one of the key factors and as far as security is concern, we assure security to investors," he said.
