Jharkhand: Four hardcore Maoists, accomplice held
Five persons, including four hard-core Maoists, were arrested in Chowka of Saraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand.
Chowka: Five persons, including four
hard-core Maoists, were arrested in Chowka of
Saraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand, a senior police
officer said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Ramvila Lohra, a
hard-core Maoist wanted by police in Chandil, Ichagarh and
Chowka police station areas in 17 naxal-related cases, from
near Manikui railway bridge last evening, Sub-divisional
Police Officer (Chandil), Madan Mohan Lal said.
The other four arrested persons, also arrested from
the spot, were identified as Banka Pandey, Gurupad Majhi, Sonu
Majhi and Madhu Rajak, the SDPO said.
Except Rajak, an accomplice of the naxalites, the rest
four are hard-core ultras having served jail sentences in
Pandey and Sonu Majhi were also involved in supply of
arms to the outfit, he said.
