Jharkhand: MLA arrested for assaulting NTPC officer

Hazaribagh: Congress MLA of Barkagaon, Yogendra Sahu was arrested on Monday for allegedly assaulting an NTPC official for organising a programme without
inviting him, the police said.

"Sahu was arrested in connection with the assault of
NTPC Additional General Manager RK Singh when he was waiting
to receive the then Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh Vinay
Kumar Choubey to inaugurate a function organised by NTPC at
Keredari," DSP (Headquarters) Sangeeta Kumari told newsmen

It is alleged that the MLA assaulted Singh for
organising the function in his constituency without inviting
him which was against the protocol, she said.
