Jharkhand MPs submit memo to Home Min demanding 150 Assembly seats

Members of Parliament from Jharkhand today gave a memorandum to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, requesting him to take initiative in increasing the total number of seats in Jharkhand Assembly from 82 to 150.

Ranchi: Members of Parliament from Jharkhand today gave a memorandum to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, requesting him to take initiative in increasing the total number of seats in Jharkhand Assembly from 82 to 150.

Handing the memorandum to Singh at his office in New Delhi, the legislators reminded the Home Minister of his announcement in this regard, a press release said here.
Ravindra Rai, P N Singh, V D Ram, Sunil Kumar Singh, Laxman Gilua, Vidyut Baran Mahato and Vijaya Hansda were the team members, who called on the Union Home Minister.

The memorandum was also signed by Congress MP Pradip Kumar Balmachu and JMM MP Vijay Hansda, the release added.
