Ranchi: The opposition parties in the Jharkhand Assembly would meet to deliberate on the issues to be raised during the coming budget session that would resume tomorrow after the holi vacation.
"MLAs of all the opposition parties will meet tomorrow evening to discuss on crucial issues, which can be raised in the house during the budget session (which ends on March 31)," the leader of opposition, Rajendra Prasad Singh, of the Congress, said to sources.
RJD legislature party leader Annapurna Devi said the party would put in the meeting crucial issues like implementation of Chota Nagpur Tenancy Act, filling up of "thousands of vacancies" for the posts of doctors and teachers across the state.
"We will request the opposition to list these issues, besides raising problems of healthcare, electricity and drinking water facilities," Devi added.
The CPI (ML-Liberation) MLA, Vinod Kumar Singh, said "One of the most important issues is appointment of teachers in 580 schools which have been upgraded as high schools. Another matter is tardy pace of distribution of ration cards."
Marxist Coordination Centre legislator Arup Chaterjee said, the party was concerned about increase in old age pension and age of professors in government colleges from 62 years to 65.
