Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) MLA Pradip Yadav on Wednesday sat on a dharna in the well of the state assembly in protest against the speaker accepting the treasury bench's demand to expunge his comment on the recent arrest of a person from a train in Ranchi district.

Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) MLA Pradip Yadav on Wednesday sat on a dharna in the well of the state assembly in protest against the speaker accepting the treasury bench's demand to expunge his comment on the recent arrest of a person from a train in Ranchi district.

Yadav had raised the issue in zero hour, which sparked off protests from the treasury bench and BJP MLA Radhakrishna Kishore demanded its expunging saying it was against communal harmony.

When Speaker Dinesh Oraon directed the expunging the objectionable words in the statement, Yadav sat in the well of the house in protest.

The speaker then told him that he would let him know after expunging the comment. At this Yadav left the well.

Yadav had raised the matter in connection with the August 20 arrest of the person at Kita railway station in Ranchi district from Burdwan-Hatia Express with suspected RDX and other explosives.
