Jamshedpur (Jharkhand): The BJP-led government in Jharkhand government would introduce a strong Lokayukta bill in the budget session, state party unit president Dineshanand Goswami said on Tuesday.

Addressing a press conference here, he said, "Chief Minister Arjun Munda has been serious to tackle corruption and started initiative in this regard."

"The bill will be effective and strong. It will be almost on the line of the bill produced by Uttarakhand government," Goswami said.

Lambasting the UPA government and its ally Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) (JVM) for their stand over Jan Lokpal bill in Rajya Sabha recently, Goswami asked why JVM did not bring in any amendment in Lok Sabha on the issue and voted in favour of the bill produced by Congress.
