Jharkhand: Train routes diverted following Maoist bandh

Several trains have been diverted, apparently to avoid naxal-pockets during the two-day bandh reportedly called the CPI (Maoist) from midnight on Tuesday night.

reportedly called the CPI (Maoist) from midnight
on Tuesday night.
Both up and down trains of Ranchi-Delhi Swarna Jayanti
Express, Ranchi-Varanasi inter-city and Sambalpur-Varanasi
inter-city have been diverted through Gomo-Gaya-Mughalsarai,
railway sources said here today.
The rescheduled routes will continue till July one.

Normally, the trains run through the Barkakana-
Daltonganj route.
