Ranchi: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha
(Prajatantric) today accused allaince partner Congress of
giving the opportunity to BJP-JMM to form a government in the
state by allowing continuation of the assembly in suspended
animation.

“The Centre should have dissolved the house and paved the
way for a mid-term poll,” JVM-P principal general secretary
Pradip Yadav told newsmen here.

“The proposed BJP-JMM government would be shortlived as
the combination is the same as in the previous one which fell
flat on internal contradictions,” he claimed.

The JVM-P has been demanding dissolution of the house
ever since the proclamation of President’s Rule on June 1 and
had announced that it would go it alone in case of a mid-term
poll despite its pre-poll alliance with the Congress.

The Congress (14 MLAs) and the JVM-P (11 MLAs) had
contested as an alliance in the November assembly polls last
year.

BJP yesterday staked the claim to form a new government
in the tribal state with support from JMM and AJSU.
