Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court today
rejected the bail petitions of former chief minister Madhu
Koda and his former cabinet colleague Kamlesh Singh who are in
judicial custody on corruption charges.
The bail petitions came up for hearing before the bench
of Amreshwar Sahay who rejected them.
Koda and Singh had filed bail petitions separately in the
high court after the special vigilance court had earlier
dismissed their pleas.
Koda and Singh were arrested on November 30 after an FIR
was filed by the Vigilance Bureau in connection with a
disproportionate assets case.
Koda is also facing charges of tax evasion and money
