Ranchi: The lone MLA of Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch (JJM), Bandhu Tirkey, who is supporting the Shibu Soren-led government from outside, Friday declined to back the BJP if it decided to assumes power in the state.
"I am lending support to Shibu Soren and not BJP. A final decision will be taken at our party`s meeting later in the day," Tirkey told over telephone.
Jharkhand plunged into a political crisis after Soren voted for the UPA during the cut motions in Lok Sabha, following which BJP decided to pull out from his ruling coalition.
However, BJP is now reviewing its decision after JMM left the floor to BJP to initiate government formation and choose a chief minister of its choice and JMM would support
Following the JMM`s repeated written pleas, BJP had yesterday cancelled twice its appointment with the governor to handover the letter of withdrawal of support.
Meanwhile, there are more than one aspirants for the CM`s post in BJP. According to reports former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and present Deputy Chief Minister Raghuvar Das are in the race.
