Tara Shahdeo case: Ranchi police raids Ranjeet Kohli's residence, recovers 36 SIM cards

Ranchi police on Sunday raided the residence of national shooter Tara Shahdeo's husband, Ranjeet Kumar Kohli alias Rakilbul Hussain, who has been accused of forceful conversion and recovered 36 SIM cards and a VIP light from his possession.

Ranchi: Ranchi police on Sunday raided the residence of national shooter Tara Shahdeo's husband, Ranjeet Kumar Kohli alias Rakilbul Hussain, who has been accused of forceful conversion and recovered 36 SIM cards and 15 mobile phones from his possession.

Police also recovered two CPUs, two air shooting guns, one pen drive, four printers, court documents and marriage CD of his marriage with Shahdeo from Kohli' Blair apartment.

However, the police has said that there is no evidence that links his involvement with flesh trade.

“We have no concrete proof of him being involved in flesh trade so far. We are still investigating that angle.,” said Prabhat Kumar, SSP, Ranchi.

“All the allegations made against me are baseless. Truth will win,” said Kohli. 

Meanwhile, IB is expected to interrogate Jharkhand minister Suresh Paswan after Shahdeo's husband Ranjeet Kumar Kohli alias Rakilbul Hussain told Jharkhand police that he used to supply girls to some top-notch people, as per reports.

During interrogation, he reportedly said that a room in Ranchi hotel and two flats in a multi-storeyed building were booked to provide services.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had met Shahdeo after the incident surfaced and assured her of justice.

He even handed over the case to CBI for further investigation.

Shahdeo had registered an FIR against her husband accusing him of torturing her.
