Ranchi: A local court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Ranjeet Singh Kohli alias Rakilbul Hassan and his mother till September 23 in the Tara Shahdeo case.
The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Niraj Kumar Srivastav, extended the judicial remand of Kohli and his mother.
They were taken in judicial custody on August 28 after their arrest on August 26 in Delhi following an FIR filed by Shahdeo accusing them of deceit, torture and exploitation among other allegations.
The police had earlier raided his residences at three locations and seized court-related files, 36 sim cards, 15 mobile phones, marriage CD and other things.
Registrar (Vigilance) Mohammad Mushtaq Ahmed has already been suspended by the Jharkhand High Court after his name figured in the FIR.
The names of three judges of different districts also figured during the course of interrogation and the police got permission from the court to question them, according to police sources.
