Khunti (Jharkhand): An unidentified man
was beheaded by Maoists after they branded him as a "police
informer" in Jharkhand's Khunti district, the police said
on Tuesday.
"The headless body was recovered near a river bridge
at Gamaria Raja Bazaar and the victim's head was found after a
search of the area during the day," sub-divisional police
officer AK Sinha told reporters here.
A leaflet left by the guerrillas read that similar
would be the fate of police "informers", he said, adding the
dead man’s identity was being ascertained.
