Names of ministers to be inducted has been finalised: Munda

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda Sunday claimed that the names of the ministers to be inducted into his Cabinet has been finalised.

Munda Sunday claimed that the names of the ministers to be
inducted into his Cabinet has been finalised.

"Yes, the list of ministers to be inducted in the Cabinet
during its expansion on October 8 is ready with us," Munda
told a press conference here.

However, he refused to divulge further when asked whether
the list comprised of any new face.

It is an official secret and cannot be disclosed before
October 8, Munda replied.

Referring to the 34th National Games, which has been
postponed for the sixth time for various reasons, Munda said
it will be held only after panchayat election, which the state
government was committed to conduct soon.

The panchayat election has not been held in the state for
last 30 years.

Describing the prevailing drought as "grave" owing to
inadequate rainfall for the second consecutive year this year,
Munda said the prevailing situation has further aggravated the
problems of state, which already has many problems including
inadequate infrastructure.

He said the state government has allocated Rs 600 crore
including Rs 329 crore for agriculture sector to provide
relief to the people affected by the drought.

Though we have demanded Rs 1800 crores special package
from the Central government to provide relief to affected masses
but the Central team which visited the state has recommended
only Rs 900 crore package, the chief minister said.

However, the Central government was likely to release Rs
600 to 700 crore for the purpose, he claimed.
