Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted the people of Jharkhand on the state's 14th Foundation Day.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted the people of Jharkhand on the state's 14th Foundation Day.

Modi is currently on an official visit to Australia to participate in the G20 Summit.

"PM Narendra Modi has conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the people of Jharkhand on the state's foundation day," said Prime Minister Office's Twitter account.

Jharkhand was carved out of the southern part of Bihar on November 15, 2000 as the 28th state of India.
