Ranchi: Aiming to improving work culture and quickening delivery system, Jharkhand government will lay the Right to Services Bill during the monsoon session beginning tomorrow.
The bill, which was approved by the Cabinet on Tuesday for tabling in the House, mandates officials to deliver services within a time-frame to the applicants or face a
penalty anywhere between Rs 500 and Rs 5000.
The penalty would be imposed if the designated person accusing the official concerned of failing to provide service without sufficient and reasonable cause.
Some of the important services outlined in the proposed draft bill are social pension schemes, scholarship of students, correcting wrong electricity bills, issuance of post
mortem reports and caste/residential certificates.
One of the important bills Jharkhand Electronics Services Delivery Bill, 2011 will also be tabled during the monsoon session.
