RJD`s Jharkhand unit welcomes RJD/LJP seat sharing formula

The RJD`s Jharkhand unit today said the announcement of party president Lalu Prasad as the chief ministerial candidate of the RJD-LJP alliance for the coming Bihar elections.

Ranchi: The RJD`s Jharkhand unit today
said the announcement of party president Lalu Prasad as the
chief ministerial candidate of the RJD-LJP alliance for the
coming Bihar elections would strengthen the `voice` and
`aspiration` of the downtrodden people in Bihar.

"We are happy to learn our president being projected as
the chief ministerial candidate for the forthcoming Bihar
assembly elections," RJD`s Jharkhand unit president Girinath
Singh said.

"Laluji is the voice of socially backward and people poor
as well as the voice of secularism, and we are confident of
our party`s win," Singh claimed.

He welcomed the seat adjustment between the RJD and the
LJP.

Putting an end to all speculations, Prasad and LJP`s
Ram Vilas Paswan agreed upon the seat-sharing forumula with
RJD clinching 168 and LJP getting 75 seats to contest the
forthcoming Bihar assembly polls.

LJP Bihar unit chief Pashupati Kumar Paras, younger
brother of Paswan, will be the Deputy Chief Minister
aspirant as per the understanding reached in Delhi earlier in
the day.
