Jamshedpur: Jharkhand BJP on Thursday alleged
that it was shameful that the West Bengal government could not
provide security for a 100 km rail stretch and often suspended
passenger train services ever since the Jnaneshwari Express
disaster took place in West Midnapore on May 28.
The reason behind the decision taken by the Railways
was the prevailing political scenario in West Bengal, where
Assembly polls were due next year, Jharkhand BJP president
Dineshanand Goswami told a press conference here.
Passenger services during nights were also suspended
on the Kharagpur-Tata-Rourkela stretch since May 28.
He also criticised the Congress for failing to tackle
the price rise and corruption among other issues.
