Bokaro: A suspected Maoist
was on Friday arrested and explosives recovered allegedly from his
possession at Lalgarh village in Bokaro district of Jharkhand.
Getting a tip-off that Balo Manjhi was in the village,
a police team surrounded the place where he put up and nabbed
him without resistance, Superintendent of Police, S K Singh,
told reporters here.
Majhi was allegedly working with self-styled Maoist
zonal commander North Chhotanagur region, Santosh Mahto, from
2007 and was accused in two cases under Mahuatand police
station in the district, Singh said.
One IED, 36 bullets, an uniform, 100 sheets of Maoist
banners and a gadget required to hold explosives were seized
from him, he said.
