Suspected Maoist dies in police custody
A person arrested for being a Maoist died in police custody here today, a day after he was taken into custody.

being a Maoist died in police custody here today, a day after
he was taken into custody.
Direndra Singh was declared brought dead when the police
rushed the man to a government hospital here this morning, the
police said but did not elaborate.
Deputy Commissioner Sunil Barnawal said he had asked an
executive magistrate to remain present during autopsy.
He also set up a five-member committee to enquire into

police, who took him to the police station for interrogation
to ascertain whether he belonged to any Maoist outfit.
