Top Andhra Maoist arrested in Jharkhand

Top Maoist from Andhra Pradesh Nallah Bhiksapati, an expert in making mortars and bombs, was on Sunday arrested from Jharkhand, police said.

Andhra Pradesh Nallah Bhiksapati, an expert in making mortars
and bombs, was on Sunday arrested from Jharkhand, police said.

"Nallah Bhiksapati was nabbed from Mandura village in
West Singhbhum. The arrest of another Maoist Karam Singh,
alias Krish, led to the his arrest," SP Arun K Singh told
newsmen here.

Bhiksapati, who had several aliases like Madhavji,
Raviji and Subhasji, joined the People`s War in 1991 before
its merger with the Maoist Communist Centre (MCC).

A technical expert of CPI-Maoist, he has been making
bombs, mortars and rocket launchers in the forests of Saranda,
Singh said.

A resident of Warrangal district of Andhra, Bhiksapati
came to Jharkhand in 2006 and was entrusted in imparting
technical training to the cadres in Latehar, Parasnath and
Saranda forests in West Singhbhum.

He had spent 18 months in Changalguda jail of Andhra
Pradesh, Singh said.

25 gelatine sticks, 10 detonators and a flash camera
was recovered from his hide out, he said.
