Twenty two killed in road accident in Jharkhand

Twenty people were killed when the bus in which they were travelling, collided with an iron-laden trailer, about 50 km from here, police said.

Ranchi: Twenty two people were killed when the
bus in which they were travelling, collided with an iron-laden
trailer near Bundu, about 50 km from here, police said on Monday.

"The bus was going to Arah in Bihar from Jamshedpur when
it collided with the trailer around 3.30 am, killing 13 people
on the spot and seven in hospitals," the Superintendent of
Police (Ranchi rural), A V Minz said.
He said the iron rods pierced into the bus after the
mishap, resulting in so many casualties.

About 25 others were injured with 14 of them stated to
be serious.
The police rushed immediately to the spot and sent the
injured to nearby hospitals, he added.

This is the worst road mishap in recent years in
Jharkhand.
