New Delhi: With the results indicating a resounding victory for the Congress in Karnataka, its exultant leaders are now giving credit to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi for the party’s spectacular performance in the southern state.

Speaking to reporters, External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said, “I would like to thank the people of Karnataka for voting the Congress party to victory and the credit for this should also be given to our leaders PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who led from the front to ensure the party’s victory in this BJP-ruled state.”

Ahead of Salman Khurshid, MoS in PMO V Narayansamy also made similar remarks and thanked PM Singh, Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul for the party’s comfortable victory here.

`Credit goes to Rahul Gandhi for Congress win in Karnataka` “I am very grateful to people of Karnataka for voting in favour of Congress, which have always given top priority to the development unlike BJP which has misused power and indulged in corruption.”

It is a decisive victory for Congress ion Karnataka,” the Congress leader said.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of Telecommunications Kapil Sibal said, “Looks like the BJP will meet the same fate in the 2014 General Elections. They will remain in third place in the General Elections as well.”

Separately, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Manish Tewari said, “The people of Karnataka have voted. If you really look back, over the manner in which Parliament has been disrupted in the last fortnight it is very evident that the entire charade was orchestrated for the Karnataka elections”.

`Credit goes to Rahul Gandhi for Congress win in Karnataka` The reaction from the Congress leaders came shortly after results started pouring in suggesting a comfortable majority for the party.

As per the initial trends, the Congress is set to win about 100 seats in the 224-member house.

The assembly has 224 elected and one nominated members. Election took place Sunday for 223 seats as election was cancelled in one constituency after the BJP candidate died.

BJP can never be a party agreed upon throughout india. It comes into power when our country gets fed up with congress. BJP is mongering too much hate this time around. If only there was a good congress alternative which was willing to see everyone as indian and not as hindu and others.

THE RESULTS OF KARNATAKA SOME COMMENTORS ARE NOT ABLE TO DIGEST THE FACT THAT IT IS IN THE INTEREST OF STATE THAT PEOPLE HAVE DECIDED AND GIVEN THE MANDATE. DUE TO THE RESULTS FELLOW COMMENTETORS ARE JUMPING TO 2014 ELECTIONS! WITH NEGATIVE OPINION! WELL LIKE IN THE CASE OF KARNATAKA PEOPLE HAVE GIVEN THE MANDATE TO CONGRESS, IN 2014 ALSO THE PEOPLE WILL GIVE A VERDICT SO AS TO WHO SHOULD RULE. WE ALL SHOULD WAIT LIKE BJP DOES NOT WANT TO NAME NARENDRA MODI! RAJNATH SINGH WANTS ADVANI, VARUN GANDHI WANTS RAJNATH SINGH AS PRIME MINISTER DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. RATHER THAN NAMING THE PRIME MINSTERIAL CANDIDATE NAME THE CANDIDATES WHO ARE GETTING THE TICKETS TO FIGHT AND THEIR WINABILITY.!!! THE PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATES MAY WIN THE ELECTIONS IN 2014, BUT WHERE WILL BE THE MEMBERS TO FORM THE GOVT????

Are you crazy? Nobody here in Karnataka care about Rahul, and what leadership are you talking about, we just voted against a corrupt government just like the one in the centre. Be sure that the congress will face the same fate as the BJP. People are just tired of corrupt politicians and they will get voted out across the country

Karnataka result is purely based out of local factors. Everyone including the big mouths of Congress knows about it but they have some happy moments amidst various negativity. Let them have fun!

History of karnataka says that the rulling party in karnatka does not rule in Nation. so we are thankful to rahul gandhi about his contribution to let india free from congress party in 2014 election

The credit for Karnatka win does not go to congress leadership but to misdeeds of BJP,and hooligans like Bajrang Dal and Ram Sene . Karnatka people are peace loving people and they have voted against corrupt government of party with a difference.Credit also goes to Mr. MODI for ensuring congress victory.Wherever he will go BJP is bound to lose.If congress fails to deliver it will meet same fate like bjp..

Anil Kumar - New Delhi
Everybody knows the credit goes to BJP & Yeddyurappa only. The nation will show you the actual credibility of Rahul Gandhi, Sonia, Manmohan Singh and Congres after 2014 polls.s
