1,200 Tibetan refugee families to get ration cards

Sirsi (Karnataka): Acceding to a long pending demand of Tibetan refugees, Karnataka Government has decided to provide ration cards to 1,200 families residing in Mundgod Taluk in Uttara Kannada District, official sources said.

After a survey of the Tibetan families residing in the Tattihalla camp of Mundgod taluk for the past 50 years, the government had decided to provide them with above poverty line and below poverty line ration cards, the sources said.
