Mangalore: Police have arrested a gang of eight men, reportedly kidnappers, for allegedly abducting a 22-year-old medical student and her friend and then forcing them to perform sexual acts.
According to an english news channel, three of eight accused held are already facing criminal charges. Allegedly they even made a demand of Rs 25 lakh for not posting the video of the sexual act on the internet. They also threatened to send the video to the victim`s parents and college principal in case they fail to make the payment.
As per the police, on Thursday night, the victims were returning from a party when suddenly their car was stopped by a group of eight-men and abducted them. Latter, they forced the medical student and her friend to perform sexual acts and also threatened them of uploading the video clippings of the act on the internet.
“The gang abducted the couple from a highway, about 18 km from Mangalore city in Karnataka,” police said.
Allegedly the abductors took the victims to a nearby `guest house` where they were forced to
perform sexual acts while the kidnappers recorded the same.
However, police manged to capture all the accused involved in this case. A detailed inquiry is being held. Reportedly police is also trying to catch other such gangs who may have a connection with the pornography racket.
